WHAT WE OFFER

TRAINING THAT FEELS LIKE TRAINING

Professional actors need to keep training, to keep their acting muscles warm when they’re out of work and it can be difficult to find the right place to do that sometimes. To find a place that continually challenges, uplifts and inspires you, in a room full of people who love doing what you love. That’s what we are creating here in Brighton.

It’s difficult when you leave full time training at a drama school, or something similar, as you lose that outside eye. The drama teacher or coach that can help to shape your performances, correct the inefficiencies and make sure that you’re technique is sound.

ACCESS TO INDUSTRY

Our workshops have helped to connect many of our actors with the industry professionals who come in to run workshops for us and this is something we will always continue and champion. Whether that be with casting directors, producers or directors, we have built a strong network of local creatives who love working with us just as much as we love having them in.

PERFORMANCE AND TECHNIQUE

Our workshops specialise in one thing and one thing only: acting for stage. Whilst we will incorporate elements of body, voice and breath into the work that we do, a vast majority of our work is rooted in naturalistic, contemporary theatrical work. We want our actors up in the space, performing and receiving coaching and re-direction specific to them. We want you to become a better actor, to leave with a page full of notes each week as we’re constantly looking at new material.

These classes are open to adult actors (18+) who have previous full-time professional acting training and/or professional experience. These classes are not suitable for beginners.
